This one took a little while. Here's the painted version of the sketch, this time I'm going for a more dramatic lighting than the "guardian". Using colors to bring out the characters. The giant "pimple" on the forehead is a broken horn actually............. Very inspired by Frank Frazetta's mood works, he rocks! Comments and critics welcomed guys.

Ha ha! Inspired! Ha! I prefer to call it "liberal borrowing for creative inspiration" at this point! Totally awesome! THose tree root branch things are straight out of Frazetta's swamps and dark jungles. Admirably brought to life! So is the maiden hunting or being hunted? :D
